The device and the tuning are separate

EZ LYNK describes Auto Agent as the vehicle interface for its apps. Technician-provided tuning is a separate part of the setup, and available functions vary by vehicle and ECU. See the manufacturer's Auto Agent information for its platform overview.

An AA3 device request does not itself include HDTruckTunes custom tuning. If you need tuning, include it in the request and review the Cummins HD EZ LYNK tuning service. The quote identifies device hardware, tuning, the applicable LYNK option and connection cable separately.

Already have an AA3?

Select the existing-AA3 option when you request tuning and describe your current device and cable. You do not need to buy a duplicate AA3 just to submit a tuning request. Tuning and the applicable LYNK charges still apply when tuning is requested.

If your device is another Auto Agent generation, give its exact generation rather than selecting AA3. The HD 9-pin adapter offered by HDTruckTunes is for AA3 only; it is not presented as a cable for Auto Agent 1 or 2.

Confirm the connection before buying hardware

Include your truck's installed Cummins engine, ECM information when available, and diagnostic connector details. A clear photo of the connector can help clarify the request when its type is uncertain. We review the truck and connection instead of assuming that an AA3 or 9-pin port works with every heavy-duty application.

Hardware quote and shipping

Hardware shipping is confirmed for the United States and Canada. Your quote confirms the hardware items and the shipping charge for your destination before payment. UK hardware delivery needs separate confirmation.

If the AA3 and cable are fulfilled together from the same origin, they can be packed in one box; the quote confirms the shipment. A hardware-only request does not add a tuning-related LYNK fee. Digital tuning alone has no hardware shipping charge.

Is the HD 9-pin cable included?

The cable is a separate offered item. Tell us whether you need it, and use the confirmed quote to check the included hardware before payment.

Will the device automatically include tuning files?

No. Request custom tuning separately. The confirmed tuning method and applicable LYNK option are reviewed along with your installed engine and ECM.

Can I order hardware without tuning?

You can submit a hardware-only request. Include your truck, connection details and destination so the items and shipping can be quoted. A hardware request is not a paid checkout.
